Chilling in Mechelen 🏙️
Room was lekker spacious with a comfy bed, and brekkie was a feast-so many fresh options! Loved the location, right by all the action, and the carpark was a bonus, even if a bit tight.
Check-in took a bit longer than I hoped. Could use another chommie at the front desk when it gets busy.

The staff is attentive.
The noise from above my room was unbearable. On top of that, I found my bathroom was not properly cleaned, with hairs left in the shower. I couldn't believe I had to pay for water every day-what a ridiculous extra charge!

The room layout was excellent better than most I have stayed in previously

The room was clean and pleasant and the hotel well located for visiting Mechelen and the surrounding areas
It wasn't clear what was available for breakfast on the two price tarriffs i.e. full versus continental. The process for registering and then being charged for breakfast was not clear.

It was central and easy walking distance from the town. The facilities were good, including coffe and tea making facilities and a choice of bath and shower in the room. Also, as it is a modern hotel, there is a lift, so no walking up and down stairs with luggage. Check-in and check-out were easy and no problem with the booking.
Not really a first choice for a city break/holiday as it is more for business than a hotel with a lot of character, but the other side of that is that it has the facilities. In common with many hotels, they need more or bigger pillows. I don't know why hotels are so mean with pillows and it makes a big difference to the comfort. (A word about Mechelen is that it has a lot going for it, but its attractions are a bit spolied by the roadworks and is a bit scruffy around the edges - but that's not the hotel's fault.)

The location is excellent and very central, but
The check-in process could use improvement as it was quite slow. The room was spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast selection, but missed having more immediate staff presence during busy times. A nice experience despite some minor issues.

Clean, well equipped room that was comfortable, quiet and in a great location.
Initial check in was poor. Less than helpful, just going through the motions after a busy day. Had to ask about timings/facilities rather than being told. Wasn't told about the free 20mins internet use in the lobby. Breakfast was very overpriced at 18euro per person.

Consider asking for fresh towels regularly as the staff may not automatically offer them during your stay.

The location was great. The room was very spacious, equipped with tee/coffee facilities. Nice bathroom with separate washing tube and shower.
The only thing I did not like was wifi Internet you had to pay for.

Overnight at this hotel for the third year running, on the way to the Ijmuiden ferry. It is very central, very well equipped, comfortable rooms, an excellent buffet breakfast. At an attractively discounted rate.
Novotel's formula is fine, but a bit lacking in charm. Difficult to penetrate to this very central location by car without a map or GPS.

Clean. Close to city center.
Staff was not bad, but not friendly. There was difference between standard room and executive room.

We found the Hotel to be good value for money. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Ideally located in the town and close enough to visit Brussels. They had an excellent 'workout' room. We would strongly recommend this hotel.
I would have liked to have seen a discount for hotel guests using the garage.

The room was spacious with a comfy bed and featured both a separate shower and bath! Breakfast was fantastic with an extensive selection—definitely a highlight! One downside was the slow check-in process.
